Common descent versus common design

My latest "Eureka!" moment while arguing that Charles Darwin's famous theory of common descent with modification is actually a rather pathetic explanation for the modern diversity of life came when I realized that the work of Gregor Mendel had been purloined by evolutionary biologists and made the centerpiece of their argument. Clearly, Mendel's research into genetic recombination demonstrated how descent with modification produced variety in plants, and it stood to reason to assume that the same sort of variety was produced by sexual reproduction by animals. Indeed, anyone brave (or foolish) enough to express skepticism at the idea that Charles Darwin's theory explains the origin of new species had better be prepared for an unprecedented degree of anger, scorn, ridicule, and frequent suggestions to consider remedial biology classes. The question remains: does Mendel's work truly explain the origin of new species, or is that explanation flawed? The idea sounds preposterous on the surface, sort of like the plot of a bad science fiction movie titled Planet of the Furless Apes. Darwin famously scribbled "Monkeys make men" in one of his notebooks to capture the idea that modern evolutionary biologists might call "changes of accumulations in allele frequency changes", which is a fancy way of saying that humans evolved from apes when certain DNA patterns become dominant while others become recessive. Humans lost their fur, grew physically smaller but developed bigger brains, simply because we could. It is theoretically possible, and the only other potential explanation in … [Read more...]

Why CNN is fake news

CNN had a brazen headline on an article written by Chris Cillizza recently that declared, "Donald Trump warns people to beware of non-existent voter fraud", leaving little or no doubt about the position the alleged news network would be taking on the subject of voter fraud in the coming election. And what might be the problem with this headline, you ask? Well, claiming that voter fraud doesn't exist ought to mean that no matter how hard I try, I shouldn't be able to search the internet and find an article listing ten examples of voter fraud, should I? Perhaps the question I should be asking is this: why doesn't Chris Cillizza appear to know how to use a search engine? Why can a woefully underpaid professional writer like me find pertinent information that completely escaped the attention of an overpaid media personality like Cillizza so easily? photo by CNN When I read the news from legitimate news sources not named CNN, I can find articles claiming that Habersham County here in Georgia had a whopping 243 percent voter turnout. In Detroit, 37 percent of the reporting precincts had more votes than registered voters in a recent election, so the problem isn't isolated. I shouldn't be able to type "voter fraud convictions" and find stories about a voter fraud scandal for profit orchestrated by Democrats in Texas, should I? Yet I can find numerous examples of voter fraud by searching online rather easily. Maybe Chris Cillizza only uses Google, which appears to censor content by manipulating search results. For example, when I typed "voter fraud" in Google's search … [Read more...]

Amy Schumer: a portrait in liberal hypocrisy

Amy Schumer is a Hollywood actress and comedian who made her film debut in 2015 by starring in the movie Trainwreck.  As this article continues, please do not forget that she also wrote the script for the movie. The photo below shows Amy with a couple of other protestors at the Senate confirmation hearing for Judge (now Supreme Court Justice) Brett Kavanaugh. Ms. Schumer later agreed to be arrested by the police. Now if her last name sounds awfully familiar even though you've never seen Ms. Schumer perform, you'd be correct if you guessed it was because her uncle is none other than Democrat Senate Minority Leader Chuck (You) Schumer. Before we unpack the idea of Ms. Schumer protesting the appointment of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, let's take a little bit closer look at the plot of her big Hollywood debut, and the script she wrote. In fact, we can learn all we need to know simply by watching the official trailer. Note that her character (named Amy) says in a voice over, I'm just a modern chick who does what she wants. Last week, it was this guy. Wow. What a great role model! </sarcasm> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_KP9x80Z9Q Ms. Schumer plays a woman who frequently gets drunk and has shallow sexual encounters with a never-ending succession of strange men. If her character had been male, he would have (or at least should have) been labeled a Lothario or Casanova personality who should be understood to be a sexual predator, or seen as a serious alcoholic with low self-esteem and a complete lack of control over his inhibitions. In real … [Read more...]

The sigil of Baphomet

You probably won't recognize his name, but in late September Jordan Hunt was the man caught on video kicking a woman while she peacefully protested against abortion. If you haven't seen the clip already, I've embedded it below for your convenience. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkrNVol0UAo If you just watched the video, I hope you noticed how Hunt prepared himself to strike that the 34 second mark, but didn't actually deliver the blow until two full seconds later. He took his time and telegraphed what he was doing. Hunt immediately claimed it was an accident and that he only meant to kick the phone from her hand, but it's difficult to give this repeat offender the benefit of the doubt. You see, this wasn't the first time Hunt physically assaulted an abortion protestor. One month earlier he had been identified on another video as the man aggressively charging into the street to attack a different female abortion protester over a sign she was holding. Hunt has been arrested by Toronto police and charged with eight counts of assault. He'll have his day in court. However, I don't want to talk about the assaults or the motivation for them (abortion) at the moment. I want everyone to look at the necklace Hunt is wearing in the video. It's a pentagram. Coincidentally, the official symbol of the Church of Satan is an inverted five-point star called the sigil of Baphomet, as shown below. The sigil also adorns the cover of The Satanic Bible. It's a very important symbol to Satanism. Granted, Hunt may not even realize what he's wearing. The camera never gets … [Read more...]

Anger management

Writing is cathartic. I express my thoughts and emotions with my fingers using the keyboard, not using my fists to rearrange someone else's face, even though the thought does prove tempting at times.   It's okay to be unhappy when things don't always go your way. There's nothing wrong with getting angry when you feel an injustice has gone unpunished. It's even okay to peacefully protest an grotesque injustice and try to inspire others to motivate necessary change. Remember the TEA Party? However, it's not okay to scream like a jackass at the top of your lungs six inches from the face of someone you don't like. Nor is it okay to hit that person when his or her back is turned, like a coward is often tempted to do. And it's not okay to destroy private property belonging to someone who disagrees with you...in fact, that's criminal behavior called assault, vandalism, theft, and whatever the legal term is for felony destruction of private property. Oh...I guess the technical term would be arson. This is how liberals "disagree" with other people. It's also not okay to stand in the middle of the street forcing traffic to stop and redirect in order to avoid you, while you scream profanity at the people in the car. These people have completely lost their minds. Like a virus, this irrational, out-of-control anger coming from liberals, progressives, radicals, and anarchists has been threatening to spread out of control because the response from rational and reasonable people has been rather calm and understated, which only emboldens these crazy people. In November … [Read more...]
